Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Coven Wars, a text-based game centralized around vampires! In this short tutorial, your first few actions as a player are suggested.

1) Read the Rules of the game. Be sure to read all of them and have a good understanding of them before continuing.

2) Go to the Dungeon Armory. Take your pick of which weapons and Armor to purchase; weapons will contribute to your offense statistics while armor will contribute to your defensive statistics. Make sure you go to your Inventory to equip them!

3) Go to the Bank and store the rest of your money in your bank account (it can't be looted from your corpse when you are defeated if it is there). You can also claim Interest from the Bank each day.

4) Use your Allocation Points (AP) on the statistic(s) of your choice. For more information about each individual statistic, see the glossary entry on Statistics. For more information about AP, see the glossary entry on AP.

5) Now you have three options; using your turns to train, to attack other players, or to hunt.

5a) To use your turns to train, go to the Insomniac Gym and pick a statistic to use your turns on. You will receive additional turns each Respawn.

5b) To use your turns to fight, go to the Battle Grounds. Use the default criteria that loads on the page and click “search”. Choose a user from the list and click "attack".

i) If you WON: congratulations! Store the money you took from them in the Vault and continue on your killing spree!

ii) If you LOST: don't be disappointed! Go back to the Training Grounds and train a bit more. Developing a strategy to how you train and use your allocation points is wise; but don’t worry, each half hour (during respawn) you will be revived.

5c) You can also use your turns to go Hunting for humans. Once the page loads you can use either the arrows on screen or your arrow keys to choose your direction. As you gain hunting levels, you can explore further out.

6) Join a Coven. Covens can give you useful tips and many will assist you in buying equipment for your character!

7) Become a regular in the Forums and Chat. You can make some great friends here, chat about almost anything, and receive answers to any additional questions you may have.
