Hunting
In this basic guide, the Crafting and Hunting skills are briefly explained, and some common questions are answered. If you have any other questions regarding either skill, check the other references in the Help Files, or visit the Help Forum and ask!
Hunting is a trainable skill that allows you to travel further from the origin (0,0) of the Hunting Grounds. It also increases the amount of money you receive while killing humans.
Crafting is a trainable skill that allows you to craft weapons and armors that are drastically better than those that can be bought in the shop. It can be practiced here.
Crafting relies on the creation of items called Soul Bars, which are created from Souls gathered from the Hunting Grounds. The better your crafting skill gets, the larger amount of souls you will need to create more advanced equipment.
Hunting is leveled within the Hunting Grounds by exploring and battling the humans that wander it. Much like the Blood Bar, the Hunting Bar indicates how much more experience you need to level your hunting skill. Leveling your hunting skill allows you to explore further into the Hunting Grounds, meaning you will encounter stronger enemies and, in turn, gain more blood and money from defeating them.
Crafting is leveled by crafting items, whether it be Soul Bars or equipment. As you level your crafting skill, more advanced equipment becomes available for you to craft. The more you level your crafting skill, the more likely you are to successfully craft an item!
As you venture further into the Hunting Grounds, you will notice your enemies begin to last longer in combat. For this reason, keeping your equipment current and your statistics trained will help you greatly.
