What have you been reading recently? :D

I hardly ever read but I came across this story and actually liked it. If you are interested, here is a link:

Anyways, I thought it would be cool to see what you guys have been reading lately. If you haven't read anything recently, what do you like to read? Or what have you read that is good?

I'm currently reading the soul seeker series by Alyson Noel. And soon, on to another exciting series. I'm currently waiting on the arrival of the newest installment of the house of night. I've read Alyson Noel's evermore series. They're all good reads.

Lately I've been reading stuff from Murakami Haruki. I get annoyed along the way always. Up til now I've read "Dance Dance Dance", "After Dark" and "South of the Border, West of the Sun".
Like I said, I get annoyed at his characters, the plot (or the absence of it), and sure he touches some subjects of life you maybe want or don't want to think about...
I don't know if it's his style that keeps me fetching another title of his or I'm a masochist... hmph

But, I am in a search for something lively, adventurous, epic fantasy-like perhaps...

Edit: will try with the The Lightbringer series from Brent Weeks!

I just finished reading Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead which is a part of the bloodlines series. It was pretty good. Sappy and romantic with some action if you are into those types of books.

Read the first two books from The Lightbringer by Brent Weeks.
It was indeed lively, adventurous, light, with interesting plots, twists and characters, and it's set in an epic fantasy world with light as the main source of power.
Liked the second book more than the first though.
You could sense the influences of Tolkien, Martin, Jordan and the rest of the gang (as the author himself explained too...)...but
it reminded me of Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber, anyone read that?
Although, Chronicles of Amber are (to me) still the better choice I still enjoyed The Lightbringer very much.
