So I have to admit that I am very much a history freak. Since I'm only crazed about two things at the moment, I just want to see who else is interested in historical events.
I have always been interested in the Titanic, just because there is so much left to discover about the wreak and how it happened and also because it would be amazing to see it. I also recently took up an interest in Jack the Ripper, as my name shows. It intrigues me how they never found the person or persons responsible. Especially when there are possibly more murders that were never answered. They also happen to be in a range of 20 or so years so I'm looking up a lot about that time frame in my spare time.
Historic things that I obsess over

First time I heard about Jack the Ripper was thanks to Black Butler. Long story.
Anyway...you already know them...must I list them all? The Crusades, the Pazzi Conspiracy or just Italy in general, any time during the 1600s, the Revolutionary War, WWII, and of course, Jack the Ripper. So there.

Recently I have lost interest in history.
Before that there were of interest:
In a high degree:
- Pre-history = early history
- the so-called "long 19th century" (1789-1914) in which happened really much (too much to list it here)
Wikipedia about it: http://skylnk.co/fWbNvP
- Chinese history: They had a cookbook already when we Europeans sat around the campfire.
In a lesser degree:
- the Victorian England (or Wilhelminian Germany) as a background for the genre "Steampunk"
- WWII
- US history

History fascinates me which is why I might be a history teacher... I loved Grim's fairy tales they were amazing and I loved reading them. My favorite story was the one with the Pied Piper.

I read that was the bolts that was bad on the ship.(Thou they didn't have the tech to know then.) that what sped the sinking. for me, it's what would our history be if things were done different. Like if the war in Korea was taking all the way & not stopped in the middle. If the last Empire of China left the country, before the com's took over. Or if the last Czar was open with his people & gladly stepped down(& not be forced.& then there's Raz.)what would our country be like if J.F K. wasn't shot.& I'm often question our leaders what would historians think of us.

You might actually like this book called "virtual history," it's basically a book about the various scenarios involving events that would never have happened like say if kennedy had never been shot, there's an entire chapter about it.

Yes, I have seen multiple saying that what caused the sinking was sped up by the bolts failing, but many have also said it was human error for the most part. I believe either.
