I want a bow and arrow but my parents insist there is no way in hell they are gonna get me one. So I was wondering if there is a simple way to make one that can shoot acurately.

no, a good handmade bow takes more then a week to make, and shooting it accurately depends on the person using the bow

no, oak is good, palm tree will just snap on you, it takes a couple make on correctly, but if you use a palm after 8 shots you will have to make a new one

Ok, On the west coast it's hard to find somthing like that but I'll keep an eye out for Oak or somthing strong enough

Ive seen oak in California, I assume your still in high school which means you will have to work on this bow right after school and homework, which means you can't just goof off and expect this to take a week, research the making of a bow, before you make one

Since you're in high school, If your Mom is still cleaning your room and doing your laundry and putting it away-I think that hiding any sort of weaponry would be an impossible feat 
That, and would you even have the types of tools required to make a precisely accurate bow, and the money and materials to get arrows? You may be able to find certain items in nature, but you'd definitely have to purchase the string; as regular thread or twine wouldn't be sufficient.

Actually, I made one following those instructions...and it worked. It wasn't crappy in my opinion.

You know you can still catch rabbits and things with a deadfall trap until you make a bow and arrow. My father taught me how to make one when I was young it's pretty simple really.
