Haunted Place By My Area:
Insane Asylum

An old building located on the west side of town in an old Spanish looking hospital. Many of its patients have killed themselves in this place and it has been said that at late at night their spirits still wander that hallways looking for their doctor. Many times this has occurred and many people in the town of Odessa have been scared out of it and the police have boarded up the windows and the doors, some teenagers broke in and started a fire, but if you drive by late at night you might be able to see a light glow from the upstairs windows.

It's only 15 minutes away from my house (by car) and I am going to view the spirits by oitside the window. I might leave them a gift.

I had the benefit of staying the night here with a "ghost hunters" team till 3 am one evening, very interesting. And we were there to disprove it! We failed. Our equipment went dead in the attic with foul smells and one on our team threw up in the attic picture flew off the wall as well. We caught several EVP's in the back room where they keep the military uniforms and upstairs, we had cold areas in several rooms that we could not dispute. Our equipment and cameras were "messed with" in some way shape or form that we just could not explain away. One in our team was even "scratched" in the attic by unseen force with visible marks. The caretakers (two old ladies) said the attic was a scene of constant complaint. Um, yeah.

I'm near Eastern State Penitentiary. I visited there on a halloween terror behind the walls thing they do. Quite interesting. It's even been investigated by the Ghost Hunters from Television

Saw Jason and Grant investigate there and would love to visit it. If I ever had the opportunity to ghost hunt, I'd definitely choose this place.

Looks really spooky and I believe Brian and Steve are the ones who caught the apparition running towards them in the corridor. I've had run as well.

closest place I know of is the Old Jail Museum in Jim Thorpe. Didn't have any ghostly experience experience of my own while visiting it, besides getting to see the hand print.

Yes I would NOT want to be there at night with no lights like them and walking around alone. It was a great experience though with a bunch of people around me. They do have tours if you ever get around the Philadelphia area.
