Would things have been different if Anakin skywalker were trained by Qui-gon Jinn? How so?
Another question, what if luke had missed the exhuast port during the death star battle in episode 4?
A serious star wars question

I am a Star Wars nerd, and I love this question!
I think it would have been very different, because Qui-gon is older, and has more experience than Obi-wan. If Qui-gon had trained him, I don't think Anakin would have turned to the Dark Side, or even fallen in love with Padmé. He probably would have acted on instinct like he did with Obi-wan, and perhaps even more so, and probably wouldn't have been very obedient with following the Council, as Qui-gon was the same way. All in all, I don't think Order 66 would've been as successful if Qui-gon was still alive, because I think he would have sensed something was up.
That's my answer, but others might think differently. Hope this helps.

I think that the answer is no cause Anakin was made by the force. His mom and Qui-gon found this out in episode 1. So while Anakin was a Jedi turned into a sith, it is in him to be part of the force and to bring balance to it in any way shape or form. To me Qui-gon would have trained him differently and maybe better, Anakin would still have his traits of being technically being both sith and jedi or whosoever uses the force. He was made by the force to bring balance to it.
Another thing is when Obi-wan tried to do a lot more then he could handle. I think if Qui-gon lived Obi-wan would handle Anakin too cause that was their branch. It was them three so sooner or later the training of any would drive Anakin away to complete his birth task.

This is a tough question to answer considering there are many answers to this one question.
1) You have to take into account that Qui-gon didn't follow the Council's orders much, as mentioned in Episode 1.
2) Obi-wan was inexperienced so nine times out of ten he had to wing it.
3) Because of how Qui-gon was, he may have been able to connect with Anakin better than Obi-wan could have.
4) Temptation is temptation. You could be trained differently as to how to face temptation, but when your circumstances are how Anakin's were, temptation may be greater.
In all, I think Qui-gon may have been a slightly better choice.

I say no, because thata the plot the writer decided to use.

Well, yes, but that doesn't really factor in with this.
by that, I mean you got to take this as if it isn't just a movie, so to speak.

Everybody knows Star Wars is really real. It even tells you in the beginning.
A long time ago in a galaxy far,
far away....
STAR WARS
So set aside your doubt and begin to believe.

I think that if he missed that shot, either he would have been shot down by the Empire, or taken prisoner on the Death Star. But I still think that Vader would have felt some kind of compassion for him as his son, and helped him escape or just simply let him go. Or Han and everybody else would come and rescue him. He would have gotten away somehow, and instead of destroying the second Death Star, it would have still been the first. His fight against Vader and the Emperor probably still would have happened, as would the Rebel's victory against the Empire. I don't really believe too much would have changed, but that is an interesting thing to think about.
