New game mode based around conquering and holding land. These will be oriented around the covens.
The idea is simple, there is a world map that is broken up into sections. Your clan can lay siege to a section to try and gain control over it. If a section isn’t being controlled by any other coven then it’s occupied by humans. They will fight back against your attacks. You must defeat them in a timely manner or else your fight will be lost.
If you wish to try and take over another coven’s section you must first declare war against them.
Each section you control will give a small bonus that is sitewide.
You’ll need to purchase “soldiers” to occupy each section you control. These act as an “insurance” policy and help fight any other invading coven. As time goes on you’ll lose soldiers to other humans fighting back against you.
If you run out of soldiers the section will be retaken by the humans or if a coven is attacking you and you run out they’ll take over the area.
When attacking another section you must have soldiers to help with the attack. Each member in the coven will have “stamina” that will allow them to only attack the enemy soldiers/members so many times per reset. This is to encourage teamwork. The number of attacks you can do will be based on (total active members) * x + y. This way even if you have 100 members but only 4 are active the other 96 won’t hold you back.
The world map could use a scrollable type map or start small and expand as time goes on. Each area on the map could have a small bonus (as stated early), +5% money from killing humans, +5% blood, +5% damage, +5% defence, +5% total hp, etc. If other things are added to the game such as new item types or just different features then they could be modified by these type of things too.
Battles would consist of a counter on each side of the attacking force, they will both go down over time (maybe make it so you can train your forces so they do last longer?) so even if no one on your team attacks the enemy forces will go down. Once you take over an area there is a "cool off period" this basically means no one can attack the area. Allows you to take inventory and move forces around.
I’ll probably be adding more details later as I’ve probably missed something but that’ll come later, Thoughts?

I really like this idea, and like the idea of expanding the coven warring system altogether. The only input I have is a suggestion that some may or may not agree with, but with the soldiers implemented it would seem to be that it would basically become a money fight and which ever coven/players could afford the most soldiers would easily dominate an area.
I do like the idea of incorporating humans into the equation. Once again merely suggestions, but instead of maintaining a soldier count, the coven as a whole be required to kill so me humans in a day. That way it isn't who has the money to supply soldiers, but who has the diligence to fight x amount of humans per day.
I am also assuming that there will be a set number of humans a coven will have to take down in a time frame in order to win the area they are trying to conquer.
Wonderful idea though and I fully support it!

I think the main idea I had with having the soldiers in the area is to "maintain" the place. And there could easily be a set limit for everyone to follow for how many you can have. But was more of a "would this be a good idea?" I think if done correctly it could be a very good addition.
Also yeah depending on the bonus you can gain, size of the area, there would be a set size. Should also probably make it so you can only attack 1 area human controlled area and 1 coven controlled area. But Scot could add in alliances and multi wars. That could potentially prove difficult/easy for others.

Sounds like it could be it's own game, but an interesting idea.

Personally I think it's a little too broad and reigning it in a little would work wonders.
I was talking to Lillith, playing with the City Districts idea and we went with using Death Valley's "City of the Damned" the Districts are (as on the Death Valley Page) and what their bonuses would be:
Financial District: Increased Money (+50%)
Outskirts: Increased Souls (+50%)
Main Street: Combination of All (Lower Amounts of each: +10%)
Medical District: Increased Blood (+50%)
Training Facilities: Increased Damage (+50%)
