I had an idea for this PvP expansion. Like Team Games with less people & steroids.
(style halfway between 1v1 battle and Coven Warring)

Married pairs would match off against each other in a Battle setting that function almost identical to regular battle, except you have two targets, and help.
Basically it 2v2, but the pair are based off of Couples, as in you must be married to participate (and both online!)

One of the married pair would initiate the battle by selecting a pair off a list of married couples and sending them a Battle Challenge and the other couple would get a notification that they must both accept, then the battle will start. (The initiator would get a notification with a link in it to the battle to see how it went.)

*Closeness Rating (CR) would be a number that signifies how in tune you are with your partner things affecting it would include... (green = positive, red=negative)
- Time online at the same time
- Time married
- Being in the same Coven
- Mutual forums threads posted in (not Coven)
- Liking & commenting on myCW updates
- Avenging you partner's death (kill who killed them last)
- Number of times married (# of divorces)
- Not being in the same coven
- Killing each other (if not in the same Coven)

News features could include...
Protection: Chance your Partner will block a hit for you (% based on Closeness Rating)
Heal: Chance for you to heal your partner. (Still costs Endurance, % Based on closeness rating)

Seems like fun idea. Maybe only if you could team up with different person for every battle, that doesn't have to necessary be your IG spouse...

Well one of the main points of this was to give function & use to the marriage system.

I think families would get a bit like Covens?
So would not add that extra touch of excitement to game.
But strongest couple would be another rank to go for.

Something tells me that Vlad will now get a flood of proposals

I just wanted to be on the same team as Whitewolf and Lillith. We did such a great job in the early developments of WoC.

Butt! I would drag you down in battles lol

I like it. And I like the closeness rating, as it would penalize those who would jump around for the sheer fact of getting stronger, or whatever other reasons.

And to not be married you wouldn't lose anything, as you wouldn't have a chance of getting attacked.

Perhaps, also unlike team games, this would require both partners to be alive in the game, and when killed in a "mate battle" would die in game until respawn.
