Hey Vampires, just wanted to make a suggestion that I personally think will add loads more fun to the game and it's competive nature.
I'm sure we can all agree that the present state of coven warring is just... stupid. The rewards are too small for the effort required and its well... boring. I don't want to propose any complex ideas as obviously they will be too hard to implement and there's no way we will get it, but I think I have some good simple ideas that if implemented, will increase this games content.
Ok first things first, I think for any coven to want to engage with another coven, there needs to be higher rewards. At the moment the rewards are just absolutely stupid... The coven I am in a the moment is level 143. This means we need over 30m blood to level it. Most of the coven wars we win, we get about 20k blood. This isn't even 0.001% of the blood we need... I can also get 3x this amount of blood from killing a clone, using 1 turn. Rewards should be based on the level of the coven, giving more per level so everything is proportional.
My next suggestion is that we replace the simple pvp coven warring at the moment, with various options for different types of coven wars. I think these should be based like games, eg, the coven to kill the most amount of humans in a week or the coven to kill the most amount of players/clones in a week or even the coven to gain the most amount of blood in 2 weeks. Of course these aren't the only ideas, there are many games/challenges that could be add and seem simple enough to implement.
Anyway I would love to see what you vamps think, and if you have any ideas to add on to this suggestion, thanks!

Maybe even incorporate it within the War Clock. In certain hour(s) you get to earn your coven some points by participating in the challenge ?
i.e. in that particular hour, hunting humans is counted and then if your coven killed more humans, you win some points, or the loser losses points...
This can be a tide turner in some wars?

Wars are not well thought out. Right now it's a PVP with players who don't always pay out well. So you could end up wasting turns attacking low level members you normally won't. Also at the end of low level grinding you get a small reward. I didn't like it when it first came out and found it a waste of turns. Maybe if you had coven turns so you didn't have to waste your turns doing something that isn't rewarding at all. It's a little late in the game to be doing anything about it. The game has really slowed down and a lot of members don't want to play.

But there's still people coming 'round and new people sticking long enough and joining covens - so I think this may be a great time to try out new things with Coven Wars, experiment a bit...

Mhm... You make great points. But if the idea was simple, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to implement... and maybe this would encourage players to play?

True people will log in just to see what it is. People would be happy with any updates as long as it made gaming fun. If it gave a % of your covens blood needed to gain it would always be interesting. Like kill a coven get 10% of the blood needed to gain a level. Makes those three days worthwhile. Right now 10% of the blood for my coven is 3.241,350. Ten wars and you gain a level. That is a lot more then 20-100K we get now.

Yeah the % is what I was going for, but I would say, to keep it not OP, perhaps every level you go up, the % goes down by 0.02% or something. Then stays at a minimum % like 8%. However if that is hard to code I don't suppose it matters.
