Also, I didnt want to do one idea per thread purely as these are a scope of ideas and I did not want to clutter the forum with dysfunctional ideas.
Bonuses
Have a generated time-slot bonus of 2 or 3 hours, so say 2AM-4AM game time, where benefits like blood gained, etc are increased to a certain percentage (possibly some sort of variable based on activity like the amount of users logged in during that 24 hour period or those currently logged in).
Pros: Increased activity during those time-slots.
Cons: Current users would continue to outrank any new users joining; which may deter new users due to the inability to catch up in-game.
Log-in bonuses for consecutive days - they start off minor and then increase but all players start from 1 (so even those of us that have been here years wont have that advantage, just the general stat-one
). So a minor blood and/or money incentive.
Pros: Increased activity for better rewards.
Cons: Rewards (in time) may affect the economy in the game.
Finances
An additional way to burn excess money in the economy - so maybe some form of dwelling within the Coven. I know we have the levelling and blood system but it might be nice to see some sort of graphical effect on how our progress affects the Coven (so from a meagre piece of land to something greater and extravagant) and maybe a way to add a time-based bonus for a certain period of time (maybe using up SS's for this...) like (minor) blood gain or money gain across the Coven (but with time restriction like once every 72 hours).
Pros: Combat to alleviate any overspill of money or SS in the game; hoping to promote activity to gain more SS’s eventually.
Cons: Certain covens may have a more distinct advantage against fledglings but with time restriction periods this could/would limit the advantages.
Additional: Maybe have the level of the Coven affect the time restriction – so weaker Covens could do it more often provided they have the finances to do so.
Other concepts:
Donate blood to prevent levelling up , gain some form of achievement or random positive/negative effect. Cons: Could be abused due to blood gained when attacking players higher-levelled than you. Additional: Maybe a time restriction or blood restriction based on your current level.
Achievements for continued dedication to the game – for example: Buy premium package. Aged to 365/500/1000 days. Reached X positive or negative alignment. Held X amount in bank at any one time. AP Hoarder (Hoard over 100 AP).
Implement storyline for the site / founding members and Covens (to help the RP perspective and detail, might open prevalent opportunities to expand the site through later details in roleplay).
Updated 7.10.13: More items in the gift shop - purely for money burning and 'to show our love' to each other.
Minor element but I would not mind easing the workload for that by providing a list of items (and prices if need be).
Updated 8.10.13: Make changes to the Midnight Arcade for users to input their own amount to bet; so far the prizes are low so any type of money-making through this is infinitely small. User-allowed inputs (with a maximum limit) and a set percentage increase if the user wins - would allow the possibility of obtaining more money over a shorter period of time as opposed to Hunting and Battling (and if users buy and sell premium on the market).
When married (so couples) allow them to invest in a property - where each user pays half and it provides either some form of bonus (over time - so due to length of marriage) or benefit by how much the initial investment costs. This could be a bonus in bank interest, a free X amount of turns (not automatic - the user has to be logged in and click for this bonus) or a free blood bonus or SS per day. Other alternatives could be a vitality boost or a minor stat boost (which may negatively impact other stats). This would only be in effect whilst the couple are still married; once divorce happens then the property is automatically destroyed/put on the market and the users receive either full deposit return/half/nothing and all bonuses cease to exist for those players.
Blacklist
Depending how the blacklist is organised (in tables or just static information) allow the option to order by ascending/descending level; maybe add vitality to the blacklist records also. Would be interesting whether some sort of 'last attacked' indicator could be added for premium users in the blacklist area - maybe take this reference from the players Battle History?
