[Suggestion] Coven Council

User's suggestions are easily cluttered and forgotten and reasonably our CW founder cannot get to them all.

I propose the creation of a board; made up of the leaders of the top 10 covens (said board would be updated on the first of every month), and said board would become an active part of our CW government if you will. This council of people (that would represent a large portion of the game) could meet and discuss via a chat or forum specific to them about ideas they have on improving the game etc. Said council could then agree upon 1 idea to present to Scot at the end of each month. Just one. Not to say that said chosen idea would be installed, but that way the "most important" concerns of CW members could more easily be brought to attention.

Coven leaders would have incentive to level up covens more (and potentially buy premium to do so) for a seat on said council.. so all in all, it would greatly benefit the game.

It's just a random idea I had. Thoughts?

I like this idea.
The only issue I could see arising in the future would be if the "Top Covens" are determined by coven level when more than 10 covens hit the coven level cap (I think I recall there being one, not 100% though) who gets to be in the council? But that could be easily remedied by using a 2nd determinant such as Coven HoF rankings.

I did think of that; and you could easily program said system to look for a second variable, or a third in the case of ties and/or Coven level caps. I think it would re-energize covens and increase activity again. If there were additional incentives for said leaders and/or their covens for achieving status of council member.. then activity could be raised even more. This idea could be altered in many ways to achieve maximum potential. For example, as a greater incentive the council could only change every 3 months etc. It was just an idea to get more people involved in the politics of the game, and to share ideas more efficiently. The people who know about the issues arising in-game are often those who lead the players.

I really like this idea. It would be a good an efficient was of getting idea's and suggestions favored by the community to Scot. It can show him what is the most important to the players at the time, whether it be bug fixes, or an amazing suggestion.

I could see the need for an alternative form to determine a few council seats, just to mix it up, but a Coven that has just a few members or just this one veteran member really isn't the kind of coven that should be representative of the whole, if a veteran member wants a council seat they need to actively level their coven and gain members that is one of the whole points of this.

The strength of a coven (level, HoF rankings) is inherent of it's activity, granted later down the line if a Coven falls into inactivity an alteration will need to be made to exempt inactive Coven leaders from council service.
