Announcement Multiple accounts
01/15/13 5:39 pm
After reviewing the previous nights chat conversations about multiple accounts, the owner and staff have come to a conclusion that players will not be allowed to have multiple accounts on CW. We do NOT feel that allowing multiple "same person" users will keep the game fair and honest for those that can't afford premium for one account, much less a 2nd account.

Multiple accounts will be allowed under this condition.
- 3b) More than one user may be on the same IP, if reported to a staff member.

This means 2 separate people sharing a same internet connection. Not 1 player using 2 separate accounts. These account are watched for transfers of any type. If it is found out that the player is lying, and using the account for personal gain, then the second account will be jailed and possibly the original as well.

Thanks
Staff.

I thought Scot had made the ok for 2 account's as long as both where premium?

This was the reason i was so hostile last night as well.

As Blaine said, after reviewing all of the details and issues that would come up with this suggestion/idea, Staff and Scot do NOT feel that allowing multiple "same person" users will keep the game fair and honest for those that can't afford premium for one account, much less a 2nd account.

This change goes into effect immediately and will be enforced just like it was before this discussion took place.

Does everyone need to mail a staff member again then that had two people in the same household? or is that stuff still on records?

Only one staff member needs be contacted if you wish to have another account on your IP, and that must be approved BEFORE that person joins the game. Staff will review it and make a decision from there. If you have requested to have another user use your IP to connect to the game, that is still active.

Can this applies to Zombie Harvest, too, please?

As far as ZH I have no clue as to what can be done on that game, as I do not think the game is big enough for Scot to assign mods on the game yet to handle the multiple user requests.

So this doesn't apply anymore?

I'm still ok right as my older brother came to you b4 I even joined this game.?

Yes, those were approved multiple accounts.

Let me explain what we mean. There was a discussion in general chat where Scot said that multiple accounts were allowed, by all users, as long as both accounts were premium. That is no longer the case. If anyone wishes to have a friend or family member sign up, and that person will be using the same IP, the second account must be approved before the user joins the game.

Anyone who signs up on the same IP as another user and has not been approved will be jailed, as per the rules. The legal multiple accounts that users have now, are fine.

Soo... This happened on another of Scot's games, what if a younger sibling joins and doesn't know of that rule, and all of a sudden both accounts are jailed? Shouldn't the first account get the chance to explain? In case this were to happen? I mean, mods could look into a little more before jailing both accounts. Just a suggestion, not telling you how to do your job... Just wondering...

Moderators mail the first user, explaining the rule concerning multiple accounts. A decision is made from that point. If the original account has been playing the game for a while, and wishes to have a sibling or friend join, they should know the rules and mention it to the other user. This does not always happen. The first account is not automatically jailed, unless there are more than two accounts made, and mails regarding this have been ignored.

Mods are looking into the situation and if a miscommunication happens, it's is quickly dealt with. Thank you for the suggestion though :) The Help Files are pretty easy to read and follow, so there shouldn't be a question as to the rule on multiple accounts.
