Alignment now effects battles.
This feature is new and we're still tweaking it.
To figure out YOUR chances of casting an Alignment spell in battle do this formula.
[Your Alignment] / [Your Level] * 0.002
For example
101,000 / 57 * 0.002 = 3.5%
This person has a 3.5% chance to cast a spell.
If you're EVIL you will deal DOUBLE your normal damage when you cast Suffering.
If you're HOLY you will heal yourself for DOUBLE your normal damage when you cast Revitalize.

This is a very cool new feature. My only concern with this is the fact that, once players get in the 250+ levels and have multi-million alignment in either direction, it has the potential to give massive statistics for this double damage or heal.
Those players would have more of an advantage over others than the default "I pwn you" they already enjoy by being level 250+ and having gotten there BY being stronger.
I don't know, I like it but it worries me.

By the time people are in the 250+ level, there will be many up there with them, and I'm sure there will be a protection system for lower levels to make sure this isn't killing them in a heartbeat. So it should work out even at higher levels.
So what happens when we attack those that are of the same alignment now? Will we both have chances to heal ourselves in battles? Is there where we may see stalemates happen then?

But see, if we design something that "protects" the weaker players I think we would be limiting the gaming experience. If you have the ability to rush through every single player in the game, why shouldn't you be able to? It is a killing game my dear, we all die one way or another (except Corbin
) and the same person cannot kill us twice in a row so there is really no need.
Besides, if they want to waste the turn on such a small blood pay-load when they are so high in level, why not let them and then laugh?

That's true and we'll definitely keep an eye out for that as the game progresses. The chance to cast will scale pretty well as users level but if it comes down to the fact that they're casting 25% or more of the time it may need to be capped.

I see your point and often wonder that myself. But here's the thing:
Take Corbin or Lician for example. They can wipe out everyone in game basically. So... that means during that respawn they kill of everyone, and the lower levels cannot level because there is no one to attack. Giving a weak protection system would prevent this update and also the advantage our stats have over our level from making the game not fun for lower levels. It's not fair to make everyone juice just to be able to play.

But see, we are getting to multiple thousands of players (or accounts made at least). They do not have the turns unless using vials to kill EVERYONE. There are still prey for the other players, no matter the level.
This will be the case as long as the game grows. For every one major killer like Corbin or Lucian we shall see 1-2 thousand other members who fall prey. They will never keep up with the numbers.
If you want a protection system, I suggest a handicap. I know you already get a pitiful amount of blood for low levels (1's-5's) but use it so if a player is 50+ levels below you, you get a 30% blood tax. If 50% ahead of you, a 30% increase. Or some other number, just throwing that one out there.

It's no wonder my ears were burning the entire time I was at work today. Ya'll just love talking about me
. Now to add my thoughts as I was so aptly mentioned.
1. Lets just leave all the crap about juicers and that aside. You wish to talk about fairness and all the good it will do. Well without juicing do these noobs coming into the game have any hope of ever beating someone who has been here since the beginning, training, killing yada yada example Sabs (4) (Figured I'd mention someones name as an example as well to follow suit.) All the training and leveling getting AP the older players can do before these newer players can doesn't make it fair either as the noobs won't be able to kill them just as much as they can't kill the juicers.
2. Telling Lucian or myself who we can or cannot kill would be retarded. We are the strongest here we earned the right (whether paid for or trained for) to kill who we please.
3. Three years down the road when this game has such and such members (if it sticks around that long as I've seen games come and go and have dominated on almost all
) I say again that juicing is the only way for the fair game play to take place as you will have no way of killing the high levels simply because they've been here longer. In which I say if you want to be a killer learn to pay or be happy killing the bottom of the barrel as that's all people like Lucian or myself will leave.
**Note** Some of this may seem harsh but in truth its a harsh world out there. Learn to deal or go somewhere else.
**Note** No offense was intended to anyone in the making of this post.

Ok, I think there should be a bug...
So my chance to deal double damage should be:
86 537/42*0.002=4.12%
I just killed over 20 vamps and casted suffering in every battle but few. And most of the battles were one hit events!

1. You cleaved Sabs in the head for 414 damage! (1651 HP remaining)
2. You cleaved Sabs in the head for 577 damage! (1074 HP remaining)
3. You blocked the enemy from casting a spell!
4. You cleaved Sabs in the leg for 577 damage! (497 HP remaining)
5. You punched Sabs in the arm for 368 damage! (129 HP remaining)
6. You cast Suffering on Sabs and dealt 828 damage. (-699 HP remaining)
Battle Results
You win!
At number 3 I blocked the enemy from casting a spell and number 6 I cast suffering. So these effects are now in place. I noticed while fighting others that they would cast spells as well, so it works.

I have noticed since I began battling after this new feature that this small percentage they are SUPPOSED to have is not the case. I can battle someone with 15k alignment for holiness and they heal themselves 12 times in a battle that lasts to 30.

Apparently there was a bug. I've fixed it now and the chance to cast should work properly.

Indeed, I entered a few more battles and noticed the casting was less. Of course, I will not know the true effectiveness until I fight the person mentioned above once more but overall, I'll take your word.
Good man.

Finally cast it.... Against someone who is like level 10ish and doesn't damage me at all. So I healed nothing. But I cast it!
