I'm going to be changing the way the Hunting system works.
- Humans will now be Animals. [wolves, bears, etc.]
The reason for this is that in my mind the Coven Wars story goes a little something like this. "Vampires blanket the earth. Finding a living human these days is like finding a $100 bill on the sidewalk, very rare. The vampires have had to start feeding off of animals. Animal blood isn't quite as strong as human blood to a vampire which means they must feed more often."
- When encountering an enemy instead of instantly engaging into combat with the enemy you will have a choice to [Fight] or [Flee]
This will allow you to travel without encountering any enemies. Lets face it, a human [or animal] is only going to attack a vampire if the vampire attacks him first.

I personally love the way hunting is done. It provides good exp and money and it tests you on how far you can go.
I agree with Vlad, but I like the kind of FoS take on it as well. It means we can choose to fight the 'lower leveled' animals, or wait for others to come along.

Or we could have both and call the new one "The Cullens Backyard". If we are going to have to choose to either flee or Attack, that means more turns will be forced to be used to accomplish a single act. Unless the only turn thats used is going to be is the moment you choose which path you want to take.
Also if your going to go off the story line, shouldn't there be story line quests? as a way to whole story to be understood.

That would be awesome. And it could affect our alignment. If you have chosen the 'good' path, it makes sense to fight in the backyard, and kill animals for blood, maybe giving you a slight boost somehow. And if you chose 'evil' you can chose to attack the humans, hunting the last of them down. Also giving you a bonus. And if you attack in the backyard and are of evil alignment, you will lose points, same with good, and hunting humans.

You could try something similar to the Active Battle System I suggest a ways back for this sort of thing.
Hunting is awesome how it is, but the ABS idea might work for this even more so.

I agree with you. The hunting system is awesome but let's see how this works. It's nice to have something tie into the story line.
There are plenty ways the hunting system could be improved. As for now it is more or less boring.
I'd like that there would be animals instead of humans, or maybe animals and humans? Different kind of species could have different battle styles - for example, bears would have strength as their main stat, wolves - agility, and humans - somewhat balanced stats.
Also coordinates layout has great potential for treasure hunt type quests.
Did I, by chance, miss out on the update where everyone else began getting animals? I have been hunting religiously and am still killing humans.
Also, what about the "Most Humans Hunted" in the Hall of Fame? Will it be "Most Hunts"? Either way I will survive but I am just worrying about the few boards I can manage to get on.

This update has not yet been implemented, neither has the Crafting profession associated with it.
What about animals and humans. Depending on your hunting skill level. So the low levels would start off with a rabbit or dear, then work your way up to a bear and so on then work your way up to humans.

How about "Most Humans Hunted", "Most Creatures Hunted" (creatures rather than animals? Supernatural beings could be implemented as well?), "Most Overall Hunted"?
How about.. Coven Hunting?
We all say in out coven recruitments about how we fight together, but this only happens when we have a coven war. If we went 'coven hunting' it would gain blood for the coven and some smaller blood for the coven.
It would work like normal hunting except the coven leader does it.
Lol, as far as your idea goes, that could be made much more simple by simply giving the players or the coven the ability to give a percentage to the coven just like normal taxes. As it is though, hunting is our freedom to have it all for ourselves and I enjoy it.

Why not make encountering humans an extremely rare occurrence and when it does happen it grants some awesome rare stuff. Something that could be sold or traded in the marketplace perhaps? Available to all levels?
