Give it a try!

Item name colors are based on the difficulty/success rate of creation.
Red is 25% success rate for example.

Feedback is welcome.

As I suggested in chat: (But will post here so we don't get repeats)

*A table at the top, listing the colors and the percentage of success for creating and leveling.

* Stacking of our inventory as we will all have many of each item now.

* A way to make more than one Soul steel bar at once. Much like the lottery now, it lets us know how many tickets we can buy, it would take in account our souls and money in hand and let us know how many bars we can make, and we'd input how many we want into the box and then have that many. Much easier than tabbing it all, or hitting F5 over 1000 times just for the bars. :D

[More will be posted later]

You still need to craft the lower weapons to accuire the skill for the higher weapons anyway Kitten... i think, or i think theres a better chance to accuire more level quicker by crafting lower weapons instead of just getting soulbars

mmm then thats even more clicking and why would I want to waste my souls on weapons I don't use?

Only care about the ones I use now.
07/11/11 5:57 am
ok i created 21 steel bars. but i still can't make a first weapon,
The weapon is red and it says i am unsuccessful?

it also uses a steel bar and still no weapon?

What am i doing wrong?

With the red name, there is a 25% chance of success. And it takes it it fails... This is so we actually have more stuff to do within the game. :P

Same as to going through all weapons. For coven owners, this means better weapons for all members, double the weapons effectiveness as opposed to the armory, giving more edge to each weapon, as well as it gives us high levels a chance to work through it, it cannot be completed so fast!

How about a level bar? Something to show above crafting how much more until you hit the next level?
07/11/11 7:59 am
OK so now I have an abundance of crafted night blades as I try to gain levels.

As I am sure a lot of others will have. As it took me 8 attempts to get first one this makes it one very expensive level 1 weapon???
Am I going about this all wrong?

It's actually not based on experience. The Skill Level is based on chance. Each name color has a % of success and after that a % of skill up on success.

I feel that this is necessary for multiple reasons.
- The marketplace is usually barren and now it may be filled with weapons/armor at any given time.
- Crafting isn't meant to be completed in a day. It's meant to be used from Level 1 to Level 100+ and since most of us are already high levels it seems sort of odd to spend so much on lower items.
- The benefits you'll get from being some of the early or only vampires to craft the top end weapons/armor will be more beneficial than the cost it is to get there.

heheh thanks Scot, but I was not trying to complete it in a day ;)
just wanted to get past first level to figure if the cost is worth the effort of all the clicking.

Looking at it now, it seems that even those of us already with higher levels and higher weapons, still need to craft all the lower level weapons to get high enough level to upgrade ours?

This is not a complaint ;)
Just an inquiry before a spend a fortune on clicks.

Yes, you must increase your skill level on lower "garbage" weapons to get to where you are now.
07/11/11 8:52 am
OK

*Kitten goes to do some finger exercises to improve the strength of her clicking finger*

Please please to make up for all the hard clicking can we at least buy the SoulSteel Bars in multiples and not one at a time??
Also would be nice if money could be taken straight form Bank Account as having to buy them one at a time kinda leaves your cash in hand in danger of being robbed.

sorry for double posting but just another question

Why such a difference in levels for between each levels weapon and armor?

SoulCharged Night Blade 12 1 SoulSteel Bars
SoulCharged Black Robe 27 1 SoulSteel Bars

Thats a lot of levels to have to move up just to get the matching armor?
07/11/11 10:00 am
It looks as though once I made the first weapon, I no longer received +1 to my crafting skill for making the soul bars. Is this the way it's supposed to work?

Edit to add: Also, can this be made a link in Death Valley so I don't have to keep going through this thread to get to crafting?

Now that the crafting is in place could we have in the sell items back.. sell all option. and/or when donating them to a coven that we could set the amount we wish to doante to coven if its the same weapon or armor so the coven home activity is not being filled up all the time..... Example.. RZT donated x10 of x weapon. Cause how the system is looking atm we will have an overflow of multiple weapons/armor thats not needed yet untill more members/activity.

That is indeed the way it is supposed to work, as it no longer is a "challenge" to you to create SoulSteel at Crafting level of 12. :P
07/11/11 10:50 am
Technically, it wasn't a challenge at level 1 either. :P But okay. Just making sure it wasn't some sort of bug. I guess now I have to make 15 of the Night Blades before I can make a Black Robe. :S

My first major suggestions for Crafting are;

- A Crafting bar under "Quick Stats" which shows your current progress as both a bar, and a numerical value, out of the remaining you need to craft until you can make a new item.

Example:

Quick Stats
(*) Bill (0) (M) :)

HP 100/100
[||||||||||||||]
[Heal] [Quick Heal]

Level: 0

Blood: 15/1000
[|___________]

[Crafting] 43/57
[||||||||||____]

Money: $0

Bank: $-1

Turns: 7

AP: -1

Souls: 752

Rank: 9001

My next suggestion is, is a text entry box for the amount of bars you want to craft, however, it has a "timer" on it, so while it automatically makes them once you put the number in, it has to "cast" to make them;

Example:

[SoulSteel Bar]
SoulSteel Bars are made up of 10 Souls, and $750 Money per bar. They are the basic unit required for Crafting to make other items.

My Bars:
- SoulSteel Bar: 12
Requires: Crafting 1
Cost: 10 Souls, $750 Money
Crafting Time: 1 Second.
Cooldown: None.
I want to Craft this bar this many times: [_________] [Craft]

- Hardened SoulSteel Bar: 0
Requires: Crafting 500
Cost: 10 SoulSteel Bar, $3,000 Money
Crafting Time: 3 Second.
Cooldown: None.
I want to Craft this bar this many times: [_________] [Craft]

- BloodForged Bar: 0
Requires: Crafting 500, Level 100
Cost: 25 Hardened SoulSteel Bar, $10,000 Money
Crafting Time: 5 Second.
Cooldown: 3 Days.
I want to Craft this bar this many times: [_________] [Craft]

- Hardened BloodForged Bar: 0
Requires: Crafting 500, Level 100
Cost: 10 BloodForged Bar Bar, $25,000 Money
Crafting Time: 10 Second.
Cooldown: 7 Days
I want to Craft this bar this many times: [_________] [Craft]

Once the new equipment is crafted, will they still be dual wielded like the old ones? Don't think I've seen that asked or mentioned yet.

25%? O_o

I had to click 10 times to craft a SoulCharged Night Blade...

Maybe that's just my bad luck showing up...

Edit to add: Some of the Night Blades being sold on the market were crafted (I can say that by its durability), though it still looks like an ordinary Night Blade when you click "view specs" after clicking it. You better find a way to discern the ordinary and the "special" ones before we start to see people selling ordinary weapons/armors claiming that they've been crafted, therefore can be sold for higher prices...

I have trouble when donating to my coven as well. the night blades do not stick out and they are all +2. So I think things will work out and we all must remember that this is Beta testing so things can change. :)

I was going to sell off some of the standard weapons and armor that I was replacing with soul charged items.

I noticed that if I go to sell weapons/armor that are not soul-charged back to armory, that it does not distinguish which items are soul charged and which items are standard.

Can we get this fixed to show in the sell inventory so I don't mistakenly sell soul-charged items?

Thanks

I think it would be nice if you could melt down SoulCharged weapons/armor back into SoulSteel Bars, of course not as many as it took to create it, but some.
This would create some desire to buy lower tier items off the market so you can can repurpose the materials into a stronger weapon.

Essentially (in theory) this would allows you to "teach" yourself crafting by providing additional experience (without grinding through Hunting), and would raise the value of the lower SoulCharged items seeing as the demand would be higher due to increased usefulness. There are only so many SoulCharged Nightblades that can be sold in the market at any given time, lol.
